Last weekend the Sci-Fi bookstore in Malmö reopened in a new and bigger locale, and to celebrate this (as well as Geek Pride Day earlier in the week) there was a parade where everyone was encouraged to show off their inner geek, in whatever form that may be. Given that the origin of the parade was the opening of a sci-fi bookstore it was no surprise that the costumes tended to be based on that theme (at least the ones I could identify). I've got no problems with that, since that is my favorite genre too!

I guess you could say that my inner photography geek was on display too that day...but that is not really any different from when I'm out and about shooting on any normal day! ;-)

It was a fun parade to shoot, and there was a special smile within me hearing the marching band play the Darth Vader theme as they and a bunch of cosplayers walked through the busy Saturday streets, no doubt to the entertainment and/or disbelief of "regular" people. :-)
